Our intakes have multiple long term medical needs. Our greatest need is vet funding. We also need Volunteers and we have an Amazon Wish List!
Classroom Canines/Pound Pals is an all breed, all foster based rescue, specializing in seniors, injured and pets with special needs and hospice care. When possible we step up, most times in the final hour when all hope is gone, to help save the lives of those that are in the most danger of being left alone to die on a cold shelter floor. We are a true last resort rescue and pull the pets that have no other placement options.
We do not hesitate to pull the ones the shelter will inevitably kill due to illness, injury, age and inability to walk, see or hear as we cannot bear having them die alone, frightened and sadly wondering why they have been discarded. We are their voice and we will continue saving lives one pet at a time.
We also provide an outreach program in our community which helps keep pets in their homes by helping with food, vaccinations and vet care on a case by case basis.
