We exist to provide community support for the Richardson Police Department and to act as ambassadors for the Richardson Police to the local community, thereby increasing awareness and understanding in both directions.
Our Needs
We seek to replenish our funds for our "Back the Blue" program. In the past year, we have used money from this fund to purchase sporting equipment for the RPD's UNIDOS outreach program to the Hispanic community, drones for the UAS unit to help with search and rescue, additional equipment for the RPD Honor Guard, and to provide breakfast and evening meals for employees working on the day of the RPD Christmas Holiday Party.
Money spent from this fund helps to boost the morale of RPD employees as well as help to create positive interactions with members of the local community. Your donations will help to further our efforts.
Mission
Support the Richardson Police Department by enhancing awareness and appreciation of the Department within the community, publicizing its services and accomplishments and developing partnerships.
Needs
Our needs for the coming 12 months are: funds to provide the necessary support for programs such as UNIDOS to help establish positive communication with the Hispanic community; funds to help provide meals for employees working during holiday periods; funds to provide awnings over the employee outdoor kitchen and; funds to provide a range of "extra mile" support for Richardson officers, support staff and their families.
