Our Rotary Club was started in 1984 in Richardson, Texas. During the last four decades, our Club has supported the local community with financial support to local organizations that provide direct services to residents in need. In addition, the Club sponsors local high school students with college scholarships. In 2019, we completed a Signature Project in partnership with the City of Richardson, Richardson Parks Department and generous donors to build the Ann Eisemann Inclusive Playground in Cottonwood Park in Richardson. This playground allows families with all abilities to interact with one another in a safe and fun environment.
Local families have been hit hard by job losses and Covid 19 restrictions affecting their ability to feed and house their families and limit their ability to fund college programs for their young adult children. With our support to partner organizations that provide front line food, housing and financial support, along with our college scholarship programs, we see a rising need for more funds being dedicated to both areas.
Achieving lasting impact through a collaborative culture of service.
Donations to our Rotary Club directly support the following:
*Polio Plus - a program to immunize all the world's children against polio
*2024 - 2025 college scholarships
*Holiday Baskets for Seniors Net Program at NETWORK of Community Ministries
*Additional International Projects
At Rotary, we understand that cultivating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture is essential to realizing our vision of a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change.
We value diversity and celebrate the contributions of people of all backgrounds, across age, ethnicity, race, color, disability, learning style, religion, faith, socioeconomic status, culture, marital status, languages spoken, sexual orientation, and gender identity, as well as differences in ideas, thoughts, values, and beliefs.
Recognizing that individuals from certain groups have historically experienced barriers to membership, participation, and leadership, we commit to advancing equity in all aspects of Rotary, including in our community partnerships, so that each person has the necessary access to resources, opportunities, networks, and support to thrive.
In line with our value of integrity, we are committed to being honest and transparent about where we are in our DEI journey as an organization, and to continuing to learn and do better.
