One Our Needs

The proportion of families residing at or below the poverty line in Rockwall County has surged by 68% since 2019.

Our requests for food are up SEVENTY PERCENT this year.

We simply cannot meet the growing demand by ourselves.

Your support allows us to provide life-giving services each year to Rockwall County women, children and men that are experiencing a short-term crisis or disaster.

Your gift will help provide shelter from the storms, food during lean times and a medical home to help keep our community healthy.

One client says...

"I was at my breaking point. I had exhausted all of my resources. Had cars repossessed, eviction notices, past due notices, food prices, and not to mention gas prices were all hitting at once. My husband and I had worked hard to work towards being able to provide for our family, but it seemed any money earned was just not enough and the bills kept piling up. I reached out to the Helping Hands office and I was able to catch up on some of my bills which was a huge relief. Helping Hands provided help when options were next to none."                                                                                  - Lindsey, Assistance and Referral Client
