At Sparrow Collective we are passionate about people living with purpose. We want women know their identity, gifting, and purpose because it makes a difference in the community. When women are walking in their unique gifts it means they are serving in nonprofits, volunteering in schools, entering into the workplace with excitement, raising strong kids, and more!
There are so many hard things going on worldwide, and we feel like our part is to show up day after day in our community helping women find FREEDOM in Christ through knowing their worth and identity in Him. Women that know they are loved and seen by God can be set on mission to live purposefully in their community.
Sparrow Collective is passionate about all women understanding their worth in Christ. In order to support women overcoming difficult circumstances we offer a free program called Sparrow Restore. The aim of Sparrow Restore is to communicate dignity and worth to women through the sharing of food, experiencing the restorative work of art, and learning about their identity in Christ. Sparrow Restore has an emphasis on relational and spiritual support, but some women go on to participate in our Job Training program.
Through the Sparrow Collective ministry initiatives (Sparrow on Main and Sparrow & Co.), Restore Job Training provides skills for women in customer service, general office tasks, event management, retail, and more. In addition, the participants also gain understanding of working on a team, money management, professionalism, problem solving, resume building, and scheduling. After completing the 8 months of Restore Job Training, participants are given the opportunity to apply for open positions at Sparrow or we connect them with our network to apply for other jobs in our community.
Participants in Sparrow Job Training work approximately 10 hours per week and receive $20 per hour. In addition, we provide computers and other necessary tools for them to work at Sparrow. Donations to Sparrow Collective during North Texas Giving Day help support the women participating in the Job Training program.
We believe that all people regardless of age, ethnicity, job status, etc. are worth of learning about their God-given identity and how God uniquely wired and gifted them. Each part of Sparrow Collective aims to communicate dignity and worth to all women.
