The Apostolic Church Planting Movement of the LCMS is working to positively impact the Spanish speaking communities of North Texas through planting churches that serve their communities and develop local leaders. Over the last few years several Mission Sites have already been developed with weekly worship in Spanish in Irving, Dallas, Grand Prairie and Rockwall. Also, over 20 leaders being trained in Evangelist, Pre-Seminary, and Seminary programs. New sites are being developed as we move north and west into Tarrant, Denton and Collin Counties in 2021 and beyond.
This movement is dividing its efforts geographically east and west of a line that follows 35E/Loop 12/Spur 408.
Rev. Juan Zamora under the Transformacion (T2C2) Mission Network is is supporting the current sites, developing new missions, and train leaders on the western side of North Texas. From Irving and Grand Prairie New sites are being developed currently in Central Arlington and Mansfield, with Ft. Worth and Bedford in the works.
Jaime Gonzalez under the Expansion Mission Network is doing the same on the eastern side.
Our Needs
We are looking for partners to help support Pastor Juan, our lead mission developer, expand our work at our new mission sites, and also our leaders in training. Each site is being led by local leaders with the plan for each to start Seminary studies to become Lutheran Pastors and Deaconesses. We are also training leaders to help start and lead our new starts. Your gifts will help up continue to support these sites and leaders.
