The Rich-Tone Chorus is a dynamic women’s chorus with over 100 hard-working, fun-loving women who love to perform and have a great time doing it! Our mission is to entertain, educate and enrich lives through musical excellence while advancing the unique American art form of barbershop harmony.
We push the boundaries of musical and performance excellence to spark imagination, engage the senses and evoke emotions for ourselves and our audiences as we extend the limits of the possible. The Rich-Tones provide leadership opportunities for our members and ongoing education is a keystone of our organization. We are currently developing programs to attract female singers from a wide range of demographics, including education programs for local high school and college students.
Mission
Within our worldwide singing organization, we are a cutting-edge, diverse and inclusive chorus committed to empowering women singers through education, competition and performances.
Needs
In March 2024, we won first place at our regional competition, which took place at the Eisemann Center in Richardson, TX. As we look forward, we are seeking support for a wide range of activities, performances, and to improve our rehearsal facility.
The Rich-Tone Chorus is aiming to provide grants for local school-based music programs, college scholarships, the creation of music education programs for youth, and scholarships that will enable youths to participate in after-school and community vocal events.
Our proposed season is focused on continuing to increase our presence in the community through local performances. This season, we are planning to perform at seven events in Richardson, with more in the surrounding metroplex. Through each of our performances, we strive for excellence and mastery of our craft and hope to generate interest in our organization as well as pride and a sense of community in the city of Richardson.
