$5,000 Goal

Our vision is to start a movement to conquer the prejudices that plague the special needs community, as well as, to start conversations that encourage acceptance and empowerment of these individuals on a global level.

We have trained 20+ individuals and create a program where those who will not be able to work independently can contribute to society by stuffing bags for local businesses and churches in their day hab facilities.

Mission

Our mission is to ENCOURAGE and EMPOWER individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities to compete for their place in society through employment or volunteering. It is also to EXPOSE the local communities to the challenges of our Unique Friends & EDUCATE employers to their untapped potential. Finally, we are excited to introduce a digital resource for parents, guardians, and employers that minimizes the overwhelm often associated with serving the IDD community.

Needs

Our current needs include but are not limited to the following: Presentation equipment, marketing and promotional materials, a new computer, DSLR camera, tripod, and a teleprompter to update our TUFF Certification for employers. Additionally, we need the funds to enlist assistance from a website developer and a copywriter who can help us execute our digital resource for parents and guardians of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
