The Actors Conservatory Theatre is a non-profit children's theatre dedicated to providing opportunities in the fine arts to all children in the community. Education and literature are at the core of our mission. Children ages four to eighteen are challenged to explore their creativity in a safe, encouraging environment while building confidence as new talents are discovered. All children who audition for our main stage productions receive a role and we have seen countless children who participate in our programming gain confidence and creativity despite physical, academic, and interpersonal challenges. Students who graduate from our programming often attest that they have grown as people as well as performers because of their time spent at The Actors Conservatory Theatre.
Throughout our existence, our mission has remained the same: To foster appreciation of great classic literature through a dedication to outstanding, all-inclusive, family-oriented theatre, right here in our own community. The ACT believes that all children benefit from the experience of creating theatre and is committed to giving youth of all backgrounds, socioeconomic levels, and abilities, including those with learning disabilities, the opportunity to create art. Having a safe, inclusive, accessible environment is at the heart of everything we do.
The ACT has a long history of fiscally responsible decision making which has allowed us to provide high quality theatre arts education and programming for children in our community for over twenty five years. We are seeking additional funds to enable us to continue offering affordable opportunities for all families and to compensate for the increased cost of both our programming and building maintenance. We want to keep The ACT going strong for kids and families and are grateful for your support!
Our guiding purpose is to provide the opportunity for all children in our community to express the creativity within through participation in our programming, regardless of race, religion, gender, socio-economic status, or disabilities. At The ACT, everyone is welcome and everyone belongs.
