Through our programming, kids and adults develop a passion for protecting and respecting some of the most valued wildlife in Texas. We also promote the awesome power of positive reinforcement and encourage the natural sciences as an exciting STEAM occupation to the leaders of tomorrow.
In 2022 WTTW provided educational programs to over 38,000 students from Dallas, Irving, Rockwall, Mesquite, McKinney, Frisco, Richardson, Garland, Waxahachie and Wylie Independent School Districts with 178 live bird programs.
In 2022 WTTW provided 273 educational programs not only to schools but also public events at community spaces, including libraries, Dallas Arboretum, Audubon centers and museums, have reached over 100,000 adults and families. WTTW has developed key partnerships within the wildlife conservation field, including Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, John Bunker Sands Wetland Center, and Trinity River Audubon Center, where we provide STEAM-aligned programs. These collaborations have strengthened the uniquely engaging performances that we use to work towards our mission while supporting the missions of other Texas-based organizations.
Our Needs
We work with local animal rehabilitation centers to give animals that cannot be released back in to the wild a second chance. We need materials and money to build new enclosures, food for the animals, enrichment materials, and items for proper training.
