About
Our Philosophy
Our Wylie Prep Story:
In the summer of 2000, a group of families met to discuss the need for an alternative in education. At that time, several families agreed to work together to start a new school that would meet the educational needs of our community. They envisioned a school where students are taught and discipled in a caring Christian environment by a team of professional Christian educators and parents who value high moral and academic standards. Through prayer and research, an educational model called the University-Model® School (UMS), was found. There are over 80 University Model® Schools across the United States, and a few international schools.
Wylie Preparatory Academy started in 2001 with grades 1 – 6, adding one grade per year in 2007. The addition of kindergarten in 2011 gave Wylie Prep a full program serving grades K – 12 and Pre-K was officially added in the fall of 2017.

Wylie Preparatory Academy exists to partner with families to develop growing Christian disciples through a biblical worldview environment that cultivates servant leaders, wise thinkers, and culture shapers for the glory of God.
