FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

NORTH TEXAS GIVES EVENTS

What is North Texas Gives to the Arts?

  • In celebration of Dallas Arts Month, The Giana Foundation Fund and Communities Foundation of Texas are proud to present North Texas Gives to the Arts, a two-week event that will help catalyze giving to North Texas Arts and Humanities organizations.

How long does the campaign run?

  • The campaign will kick off on April 17 and run through April 30, 2025.

Where can I see participating organizations and make a gift?

  • You can explore and give to more than 400 participating arts organizations.

How were the participating organizations selected?

  • Each year, North Texas nonprofits are required to register on NorthTexasGivingDay.org. As part of this process, organizations are asked to select a primary cause that best represents their services. They may also choose up to two additional categories to further highlight their programs and offerings. For these cause campaigns, the selected participants are organizations that have selected Arts and Humanities as their primary category.

 What funds are available?

  • To kick off the event, the first $100,000 in online donations will be matched dollar for dollar by the Giana Foundation Fund, Robert B. and Virginia Webb Payne Fund, and Communities Foundation of Texas, beginning on Thursday, April 17.

Is there a limit on the matching funds?

  • Available for online gifts only, the first $500 per donor per organization will be matched. Matching will continue until the $100,000 in available funds have been exhausted. Gifts over $500 are certainly appreciated, but only the first $500 will be eligible for the match.

Why is there a $500 limit to matching funds?

  • We recognize that donors are incredibly passionate about supporting their favorite organizations, and matching funds are a wonderful way to help secure additional funding for the important programs and services these organizations provide. To ensure the matching opportunity is equitable and accessible to all participating organizations, we’ve implemented a $500 maximum per donor per organization. This approach helps distribute the matching funds more broadly, giving every organization a chance to benefit and maximize the impact across our entire community.

My favorite organization is not participating. Can I still give?

  • North Texas Gives to the Arts is a fundraising event that aims to encourage people who enjoy local arts and humanities to donate. If your organization is not participating, we encourage you to still make a gift through NorthTexasGivingDay.org where 100% of every donation goes directly to the organization you are supporting.
