Texas shelters and rescues can't keep up with the needs of our DFW animal shelter & stray population. Passport For Paws alleviates the burden by fostering and transporting animals to rescues in the Midwest. In most cases, our animals are adopted prior to arriving onsite.

Our Needs
We love the hearts of our rescue partners. They allow us to tag animals that are hard to place/adopt out, such as: dogs needing heart worm treatment, broken limbs needing surgeries and even seniors with suspicious lumps. All these animals are deserving of having loving families for the rest of their lives.
The money raised through NTGD is used for our veterinary expense fund, preventative medicines, food and pet supplies, as well transport related costs on our cargo van such as added insulation, additional A/C and heating units, gas/mileage, general maintenance/ oil changes. We recently initiated a new program named "Spay It Forward", for local strays (dogs & cats) and for people without the means to afford it. This in itself will prevent thousands of future strays in our state.
Passport for Paws is a 501(c)3 volunteer-based transport rescue committed to eliminating the burden of overpopulated local Texas shelters by locating placement with rescue partners throughout the US.
We are also in great need of volunteers to either short-term foster a pet on average for 4 weeks (supplies provided) and for local & long distance transporters.

Donations to take care of emergency vetting. This year alone, we have taken in 4 litters of parvo puppies, and financially provided monoclonal injections to save them. Very expensive at an emergency vet clinic.
