Imagine having to make the unimaginable decision to surrender a pet you love because you can no longer care for it, or consider someone who has fallen on hard times and must choose between feeding themselves or feeding their beloved pet. Too often, the pet is well-fed while the owner suffers.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. With a little community support, we can help keep pets in their loving homes while ensuring the health and well-being of those who care for them. By doing so, we also prevent pets from ending up in already overcrowded shelters, where euthanasia is sometimes the only option.
How can we achieve this? By providing pet owners with a little extra help. Your donations—whether money, pet food, or supplies—allow us to offer assistance to those who need it most. By working with the ASPCA, food banks, and community outreach organizations throughout Dallas, your donation to Pet Pals Pack helps keep pets with the families who love them.
The bond between humans and pets is powerful. Sometimes, the love of a pet is all someone has in this world. We have a meaningful opportunity to help them keep the pets they love.
Projects
-
Supporting Pet Owners: There’s no denying the love people have for their pets. And there’s plenty of data that shows the positive impact pets have on their owners’ mental and physical well-being. We help pet owners keep their pets by distributing pet supplies including toys, treats, cleaning products, and grooming tools plus seasonal needs through partnerships with local food pantries, shelters, and other organizations offering social services.
-
Supporting Education: The benefits of pet ownership and the responsibilities that come with it are important to understand at any age. We support animal welfare education in K-12 and post-secondary classrooms to emphasize the importance of responsible pet ownership and keeping pets out of shelters.
-
Supporting Our Community: Pets are good for the mental and physical well-being of their owners. Providing support, encouragement and a little kindness to pet owners in need is good for the pets, pet owners and our community. It also keeps pets out of our already overcrowded shelters.

"Thank you so much for what you do in helping the homes of the animals in need, specifically mine. I lost my job about a month ago and it has been hard to make ends meet. I couldn’t imagine ever giving my dogs up and it’s because of people like you that help to keep our dogs in our homes. Thank you and may God bless you."
