Reaching Families Advocacy and Support Group is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to support and advocate for East African immigrant families caring for children and adults with various developmental disabilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area.
The organization was founded by a parent raising children with special needs in 2010.

Currently the organization supports over 180 individuals and their families in the D-FW and Houston area. Families are supported in accessing services through the educational, medical, and social services to meet the needs of their family member. The East African communities have a higher rate of autism spectrum disorder and many of the individuals have a more server form of autism requiring higher degree of support. The organization provides social skills for young adults and and tutoring young children in group settings. Parents, care providers and siblings are offered monthly educational meetings in person and through teleconferences . RFASG also provides technical support and guidance to affiliate organizations working with immigrant communities in various US cities. RFASG staff holds awareness presentation in faith and non-faith based gathering in these communities to enable families access early identification/intervention and overcome stigma in DFW and other cities in the US.
