'22/'23 Season
Help us continue to make beautiful music for our community.
The RCB's season runs from September 1 through August 31 of the following year. The full year Scope of our season incorporates FIFTEEN live concerts! So much more live music than any other professional or community band in the DFW metroplex! Our concerts include:
Seven indoor concerts by our full Band: One children's spectacular at FUMC-Richardson, 2 concerts at the Richardson Seniors' Center in a casual atmosphere, 4 concerts at the Eisemann presenting challenging music which emphasizes sophisticated works that are best presented in a controlled acoustic environment.
Eight outdoor performances - 6 within the Summer Concert Series now at the Huffhines Park Pavilion (2 of which now feature RCB's own Jazz Ensemble, RCBeboppers), Santa's Village and Richardson's Family Fourth at Breckinridge Park.
Our Needs
Richardson Community Band runs a lean budget. All of our 70 members are volunteer and pay dues to perform in RCB, including our Board of Directors. We allocate funds primarily to rent facilities for our performances, compensate special guest performers and keep our library current with compelling, exciting and challenging musical selections for our band members and our audiences.
Mission
The mission of the Richardson Community Band is to provide high quality and challenging musical experiences for its members while educating and entertaining family audiences in Richardson and the Metroplex.
Equity Statement
Richardson Community Band is a volunteer organization made up of professional and amateur musicians, all of whom volunteer their time and talents in performance and various Board duties.
