Homelessness, especially among minority women experiencing domestic violence, is a pressing issue that requires targeted and effective interventions. We seek your support for the Association of Nigerian Women Entrepreneurs & Professionals (ANWEP) in our mission to reduce homelessness among minority women experiencing domestic violence in Dallas and Denton counties. Your donation will enable us to provide critical services and advocate for policies that create lasting change.

ANWEP is working to establish a homeless shelter equipped with a staffed Helpline/Call center, aimed at assisting low income immigrants who are victims of domestic violence and experiencing homelessness by offering culturally-appropriate support and advocacy daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. CT. A domestic violence helpline means that our advocates are trained to help anyone impacted by domestic and gender based violence. Also we are completely free, confidential, and anonymous. If it's not safe for victims to call, or if they don't feel comfortable talking on the phone, another option for getting direct help is to use our live chat service on our website or WhatsApp. This will provide the same one-on-one, real-time, confidential support from a trained advocate. Chat will be available every day 24/7/365. Our organization also offers a credit-building program, financial literacy and entrepreneurship workshop to help survivors build confidence and get on firmer financial footing.

We invite you to join us in this crucial effort. By supporting ANWEP’s initiatives, you are investing in a brighter, more equitable future for all residents of Dallas. Let’s work together to ensure that every woman, regardless of her background, has the opportunity to achieve her full potential and contribute meaningfully to our society. Empowering minority women through entrepreneurship and professional development not only improves their quality of life but also contributes significantly to the local economy.
