Donate to The Love Pit's Advocacy team so we can continue to keep dogs out of the shelter and either in their current home with iSTAYHOME, or in their new forever home with iREHOME.
Local shelters are busting at the seams and people are experiencing housing issues at record rates for DFW. We firmly believe that if there is a will to keep a dog out of the shelter, then we will find a way!
As of July 2024, iREHOME has had over 500+ inquiries of people looking to rehome their dogs. Some of these include people that find strays and are willing to keep them until a new home can be found.
In the Spring of 2024, we launched iSTAYHOME which is a program focused on helping owners keep their dogs. We provide behavioral, medical, financial and temporary placement support. Because of our fundraising in 2023, iSTAYHOME was able to launch so we are on a mission to continue that fundraising and help more families.
