Saving Grace Fund

A lady called our Animal Allies of Texas hotline number and left a message about needing help with her two dogs.  The lady had lost her job a couple of months ago and could not afford to take her dogs to the vet.  Both of her dogs were having a bit of discharge and scratching in the bottom area and she was really worried for them.  

She wanted to know if she could come to our clinic and have them examined. A volunteer with AAT explained to her that we only have wellness and do not have diagnostic equipment.  She was practically in tears because she felt so bad about her dogs being miserable and felt helpless.

Our volunteer told her about the Saving Grace Fund and said that we would set up an appointment for them.  She was promising to pay AAT back when she got on her feet.  Time will tell if she does or not, but she did get them in to the vet and got them the medicines they needed. The vet called our volunteer later and let them know she brought them in and what all the vet did.  Nothing serious but it was good that she took them in.  They needed some attention.

We are so thankful to have donors who step up and give to this fund. The lives saved and or changed by this fund are amazing! Life hands you the unexpected and this fund can help both pet and owner!
