He was the 3rd horse at Camp Tonkawa and has been a favorite for many, many years. He is gentle and kind. He was the one to teach manners to the colts born on the property, as they grew up. Now he is our Senior horse who needs special feed with extra vitamins and minerals, which he gets twice a day. He also gets a lick that he can access these extra nutrients too.
As horses age, they need to get their teeth checked yearly. Proper working teeth allows them to be able to chew and digest their feed.
Even at his advanced age, he easily goes into a lope (smooth slower gait) and is easy to stop.
He’s the perfect gentleman when putting on his bridal, lowering his head to get the headstall and bit in place. A horse can live up to 35 years old, depending on the lifestyle / workload they have lived.
