Jess and her sister were pulled from a shelter in South Texas, both fighting for their lives. Despite the vet’s best efforts, Jess’s sister didn’t make it. But Jess, a tiny fighter, held on and began her journey to recovery. Once stable enough, Jess was transported to North Texas, where we’ve been treating her severe eye infection and building her strength for surgery. Now that she’s old enough and strong enough, it’s time for the next critical step—getting her spayed and removing her right eye. As we treated her, we discovered that Jess’s left eye is underdeveloped, leaving her completely blind. Yet, despite her challenges, this resilient little girl doesn’t let anything stop her. She plays joyfully with her foster siblings and fearlessly explores her world, relying on her other senses to guide her. Jess has shown incredible strength and spirit, but she still needs your help.
