Long Live the Peoples Theater

Hi, my name is Korey Kent, and I am proud to support Shakespeare Dallas on North Texas Giving Day. 

I am fortunate to be involved with this great nonprofit for the last twenty seven years, first as young technician and artist where I began my professional career and now as a Producer and the Company Manager.

There are a lot of reasons why this organization means so much to me. So here’s why I give:

We are the true people’s theatre. Our Shakespeare in the Park performances bring Shakespeare to thousands of community members each year – and are always modern, relatable, and accessible. Our casual park setting ensures everyone feels welcome.

We hire dozens of local artists and technicians, providing jobs for the arts sector and helping with arts recovery.

Shakespeare Dallas has created a vibrant community hub through co-productions and collaborations.
