The Call That Changed Everything

When the phone rang at No Borders Bulldog Rescue (NBBR), we had no idea we were about to embark on one of our most challenging – and rewarding – rescues yet. Bubba, a sweet bulldog pup, had been surrendered to an emergency clinic. His diagnosis? Parvo – a potentially fatal virus that strikes fear into the hearts of dog lovers everywhere.

Bubba's previous owner, an over-the-road trucker, had left him with a friend. When that friend noticed Bubba wasn't well and rushed him to the vet, the devastating news came: parvo, and a hefty treatment bill they couldn't afford.

A Guardian Angel Steps In

Just when it seemed all hope was lost, a Bulldog Guardian Angel at the clinic reached out to us. "This little guy deserves a fighting chance," they said. We couldn't have agreed more.

The Fight of His Life

Bubba's journey wasn't easy. Too unstable to move at first, he remained at the emergency clinic, receiving round-the-clock care, IVs, and medication. But here's the thing about Bubba – he's a fighter. In fact, it seemed no one had told him just how sick he was supposed to be!

Day by day, hour by hour, Bubba grew stronger. His will to live was palpable, touching the hearts of everyone who cared for him. Finally, the day came when he could be transferred to our clinic for continued treatment.

A Miracle in the Making

And then, the moment we'd all been hoping for arrived. Bubba tested negative for parvo! It was time for this brave little bulldog to take the next step in his journey – a loving foster home where he could continue to heal and thrive.
