Have you ever wanted to help a theatre company pick their season?? Well, now you can! The Hopeful Theatre Project team is competing against one another throughout North Texas Giving day to see who can raise the most funds for their dream show!

My choice is “Newsies”! Based on the real-life Newsboy Strike of 1899, this new Disney musical tells the story of Jack Kelly, a rebellious newsboy who dreams of a life as an artist away from the big city. After publishing giant Joseph Pulitzer raises newspaper prices at the newsboys’ expense, Kelly and his fellow newsies take action. With help from the female reporter Katherine Plumber, all of New York City soon recognizes the power of “the little man.”

Donate to my page during North Texas Giving Day! Help The Hopeful Theatre Project raise funds for our own rehearsal and performance venue and bring my Disney broadway musical dreams to life!

Why are we competing for a show in 2026 instead of 2025?? Licensing becomes available for most productions 18 months in advance! We currently have our 2025 solidified and will begin applying for licensing for 2026 soon!

**Licensing for each production is up to availability and restrictions. Show subject to change based on time frame and availability.

The Hopeful Theatre Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded on April 11, 2019. The Hopeful Theatre Project’s goal is to bring love, hope, and aid to the community by utilizing local talent through the performing arts to benefit various charity organizations.

Help give our passion a purpose. Unite with us and donate during North Texas Giving day!
