EVANESCENT MUSTANGS & BURROS

During the last 9 years, Evanescent Mustangs grew into one of the largest mustang focused rescues, helping over 1,000 at risk mustangs and burros across the U.S.  As founder and Executive Director of the rescue, and as a Licensed Professional Counselor, my dream was to help families in Texoma heal alongside rescued mustangs and burros through Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy.  Over the last few years, more rescues began focusing on helping mustangs so we have been able to go back to the beginning; helping mustangs, burros, and humans in our community.  We have created two special therapeutic programs to offer healing at a deeper level of healing: Mustangs & WarHorses for Veterans/1st Responders and Jessi's Promise for youth.  Our goal is to be able to offer these programs to any and all who apply at no cost to the participants!!!

MUSTANGS & WARHORSES - M&W is a specialized Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) program for Texoma Veterans and 1st Responders. This experiential therapeutic group is a 5 week program with 90 minute sessions to create a more powerful experience for each participant. JESSI'S PROMISE - Jessi, the young spirit behind the creation of this program, desperately wanted all kids regardless of where they come from to know the love of a horse and the joy of gentling the wild ones. Jessi died at a young age, but during her short precious life she could gentle the hardest of souls equine and human, and her bright soul had a quiet patience that she shared everywhere she went. We are so thankful to be able to offer JESSI'S PROMISE to honor her wishes of helping other children learn the love she shared with mustangs.

Evanescent Mustangs continues to help rescue local at-risk mustangs and burros, helping place them in local homes and other therapeutic programs throughout Texoma! We appreciate everyone that has been with us from the beginning and welcome any new supporters that would like to join us in this cause of promoting healing in our community and across the nation!
