We have worked hard to build and structure a new Enrichment Program. Enrichment activities help reduce the stress and boredom of shelter life. All our animals benefit from enrichment engagement, but they can be especially valuable for long-term residents.
There are many types of enrichment happening every day at the shelter. The cat walks are a form of environmental enrichment for our cats. Going for walks and playgroups is a type of social enrichment for our dogs.
The categories that we aim to include into our new enrichment program are cognitive and food based. Engaging our animals minds and helping to battle shelter boredom. This program will continue to develop but we believe we have a great start established. However, we need your donations to continue this vital program.
Your donation will go toward; food treats, replacing lick mats, puzzle games, lasers, toys, batteries and cleaning supplies.
