Katya Ventura - NTXGD Fundraiser

My name is Katya Ventura, and I'm beyond excited to be a part of Dallas United Crew as a newcomer to the sport of rowing. I started my journey in the fall of my sophomore year, and although I knew I wanted to row since I learned of the sport, getting out to the lake really confirmed that I made the right decision. This sport is teaching me so much, from the hard work, to the discipline, perseverance, and the commitment. 

As a novice, I know there is so much room for growth, but I can see that a transformation has already begun for me. These first levels of rowing have shown me the value of perseverance and I can say that being part of this team is already a big accomplishment for me. DUC proudly brought home the Texas State Championship Trophy and the Central Regional Title Trophy for the first time in our program's history. I couldn't be happier to join this legacy and I know we will accomplish so many more titles in the future.

At DUC I have heard the stories where the rowers started like me and with hard work they have achieved titles and great things for the team and personally. I feel like I am just starting my journey and yet it's already been incredibly positive and I am excited for what the future holds. 

And talking about the future, DUC has ambitious goals for the team which will require a tremendous amount of effort and resources to achieve. I would like to ask for your support and it will mean so much to our entire team.
