Hendrick Scholarship Foundation: Lisa's Page

After 7+ years in Texas, I have found a place to serve that captures my heart. I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors for Hendrick Scholarship Foundation. This incredible organization provides Plano ISD students who have overcome adversity with college scholarships and support services that help make their dreams of a college degree a reality. Since you know me, you know my entire career has been dedicated to serving students in education. This Foundation is particularly special to me because I dedicate my service to both my father and mother who are two of the smartest, most amazing people I know but were unable to attend college due to financial limitations at that time in their lives. Although they were both very successful, I can only imagine what they might have done if the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation had existed for them! 

Knowing how determination and resilience can propel young people forward despite significant obstacles, I am driven to support these students in their pursuit of higher education. This passion stems from a deep commitment to creating opportunities for those who might otherwise be overlooked, ensuring that every student has the chance to succeed and build a brighter future. By contributing to and working with the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation, I help break down barriers, open doors to new possibilities, and make a lasting impact on the lives of these deserving students.

I am not generally one who asks things like this, so you know this one is really special for me.
