Charlie was our foster with No Border Bulldog Rescue for a year before being adopted by a fellow volunteer and dear friend. Charlie made us all laugh every day with his antics! While still our foster I had to share his craziness with my volunteer group which led to everyone who knew him to falling in love. It culminated when one of them finally realized he was meant to be a part of her pack with her other French bulldog, Peanut, other wise know as Miss P! After he changed packs, Charlie continued to be featured in daily texts with photos and stories of his latest adventures. He loved his walks and snuggles but most of all Charlie LOVED toys Soft toys were his favorite and he would use them to “Make Biacuits” for his nap time. Charlie also loved his time outside watching nature and monitoring the neighbors 😉 for their ritual morning and evening “porch time”
Without No Border Bulldog Rescue, Charlie would never have found his forever family. His story proves that it “takes a village” of volunteers and donations.
Sadly Charlie developed an aggressive brain tumor. His forever mama and his village spoiled him with his favorite mini plush toys and treats for the brief month we had with him before the insidious tumor took his life.
But wait!!! That’s not the end of the story! While all of us were grieving, Charlie sent us a sign that he was doing just fine and up to his usual tricks! He decided a dragonfly would be his conduit and sent one every morning and every evening for a week during porch time to sit with his Mama and Miss P! And in to make sure we understood it was him the dragonfly landed RIGHT NEXT TO MISS P!!!! What dragonfly is going to land next to a dog!!! So Miss P doing what she does she began to play with it!!!
Then the craziness goes one step further One morning about 2 days in to this routine the dragonfly wasn’t there that morning. Sad, but resigned that his visit was done, his Mama didn’t say anything . But then she got a text from me that the dragonfly was at my house that morning !! “Charlie” hung out with me for about 15 minutes and then was off That evening the dragonfly fly was back at his Mama’s! Pure coincidence ???? You decide!!!
So please be a part /and support our village to help us create more love stories of bulldogs and their forever families by donating. Every penny is used to help bulldogs with medical needs and also basic care and immunizations.
