Help Over the Bridge Arts Support New Artists

Having never been exposed to the theater as child, I unfortunately missed out on a magical and passionate world of culture that was very different from my own.  I thought that the theater was for rich people. It didn't feel like the theater was for people like me. As I got older, when I needed a break from the everyday, I would escape to the library, a park, or even the zoo!  I didn't experience the theater until it was assigned to me in college. After my first opera, I couldn’t get enough!  The theater is a very happy place for me, and I don't want another child to miss experiencing the joy that the theater brings me, simply because, like me, they believe that theater and the arts are not for them.

Folks need to be able to access art to appreciate it, and children who have access to art grow up to be artists that give us new works to enjoy!    At Over the Bridge Arts, we are proud to be CREATING ACCESS TO EXPERIENCES by producing quality shows and keeping the cost low, CREATING ARTIST DRIVEN SAFE SPACES by using donated money to produce original works that are by new and up and coming artists, and REPRESENTING THE COMMUNITY by including artists and audiences from all cultures, ethnicities, genders, generations and sexual identities.
