Hillcrest High School proudly hosts one of only two fully authorized IB programs in Dallas ISD. It offers a globally recognized education that shapes inquiring, knowledgeable, and confident young people.
However, many essential expenses in support of the IB educational experience are not covered by Dallas ISD, including:
- InThinking Software for teacher development
- Freshman Camp and Junior Lock-in
- Pre-IB Skills classes and Socials for students and families
- Teacher appreciation events and recruitment efforts
These costs exceed $10,000 annually and are vital for maintaining the high quality of our IB program. Currently, these funds are often covered by teachers and family sponsors on an as-needed basis. We aim to raise enough funds to support these needs throughout the year without constant appeals for donations.
