Sixty & Better specifically serves older adults in Tarrant County and the surrounding areas. We are dedicated to enriching the lives of our participants. As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on the generosity of individuals, businesses, and foundations to sustain and expand our essential programs and services. Your financial support plays a crucial role in helping us further our mission.
Here's why your contributions are so important:
Social isolation and loneliness are prevalent issues among seniors, leading to a decline in physical and mental health. Sixty & Better creates social engagement opportunities through wellness classes, events, and community activities, fostering a sense of belonging and community.
The aging population is rapidly increasing, with more seniors needing access to overall wellness, social engagement, and support services. Additional funding allows us to scale our programs to meet these growing needs.
Sixty & Better was founded on the principles of compassion, respect, and community engagement. Since 1967, Sixty & Better (formerly Senior Citizens Services) has been a cornerstone of support, providing a wide range of services designed to meet the evolving needs of our senior population. From health and wellness programs to social activities and educational opportunities, we offer comprehensive support to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
With the primary focus on increasing health and wellness and reducing isolation, services are delivered to participants directly where they live, work, and gather. Sites include care facilities, senior centers, city parks, libraries, hospitals and places of worship.
