Sweet Cricket narrowly escaped euthanasia at the Fort Worth shelter today. Many factors put her on the Code Red list. She is a senior, large breed, black dog with a multiple medical conditions- including a large tumor on her chest/neck area and heartworm disease. But, today, the script has turned in her favor and she is getting her first day out of the shelter Sensing relief, she promptly fell sound asleep.
AHAR is a very small non-profit, volunteer run organization and depends on your generosity to meet the the costs of medical needs of dogs like Cricket.
When she was posted as a final plea and had to be tagged by a rescue by 5:30pm today, AHAR stepped up, despite the anticipated medical expenses.
AHAR looked past this and saved Cricket’s life. We took a chance that our charitable community will support us and help cover her heartworm treatment which is approximately $700 and tumor treatment which is approximately $2,000.00 (X-rays, bloodwork, surgical removal of her mass, and post operative care).
Today is giving day so we are giving Cricket her life back.
Please give to Crickets care so that we may continue to give dogs like Cricket a chance at a new and better life.
We hope we can count on your support. Every donation goes immediately to the care of the dogs and cats we bring in.
