CASA of Tarrant County shared in 2016 the story of sweet, baby Bryan. CASA volunteer met Bryan, who was only a few months old at the time, at the hospital where he was admitted. Upon arrival, Tricia was absolutely speechless and in shock upon seeing his torn-up body in such a large hospital bed. She was heartbroken to find him in such a horrible state - he was lying in a coma and suffered from seizures, fractures, and many broken bones throughout his whole body. Doctors said the impact on his ability to walk, talk, and play would be profound.

But that didn’t stop Tricia’s fierce advocacy as Bryan’s CASA volunteer, and Bryan’s fight for survival.

It was a long road to recovery, but Tricia worked to ensure Bryan was in a safe and supportive environment so he could heal from his wounds - physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Fast forward to today, seven years later, and Bryan is now a healthy, growing, and playful second grader! He is thriving with his adoptive family and “hitting milestone’s he was never supposed to get”, says Lee Gonzales, dad to Bryan. Bryan loves taking family trips as they always make sure to stop at his favorite place: Buc-ee’s.

THANK YOU for always being there for children like Bryan – by giving him an advocate who didn’t leave his bedside, and helping him grow into becoming the playful, rambunctious kid he is today.

Any donation made on THIS fundraising page will be matched by The Morris Foundation! Your donation to CASA of Tarrant County gives children like Bryan the care and advocacy they NEED to survive and thrive for the rest of their lives.
