Bella was found by animal control last week at a downtown Fort Worth gas station in a bucket by the trash bin. Due to her condition she was placed on the Code Red list and had until end of the day to be saved. She was soaking wet, shivering, has a broken femur and the bottom half of her back leg is missing. She was covered in Ticks and fleas, intestinal parasites. Her bloodwork showed she was anemic and very weak. She has her amputation surgery scheduled for this Friday. Her total estimated vet bills are easily going to cost the rescue over $2,000.00. We would love to have your support to give her the best life possible once recovered.
As of today she has had her first vaccines, vet exam, dewormer, microchip, X-ray of her back end, antibiotics and pain medication to get her stable. She had full bloodwork which showed she has mild infection and anemia. Her surgery is going to be done this coming Friday 9/19/24. She will have weeks of recovery and possibly a leg brace to give her support.
