Hello! My name is Thalia Harris, and I'm a proud first grader at The Kings Academy. I’ve been part of this incredible school community since PreK3, and it has truly changed my life—and my family’s too!

Thanks to TKA, my younger sister Tianna and I have enjoyed amazing opportunities like soccer and piano lessons, and our family even got to experience Sky Ranch family camp at a fantastic discount. I started reading at just three years old and was doing first grade work in kindergarten! Now, as a first grader, I'm reading at a third grade level, which is super exciting!

Our family has also been able to attend wonderful theatre performances at Fair Park and the Dallas Opera House. My parents are both seminary students and work full-time, so these experiences would be out of reach for us without the support we receive from TKA.

At just six years old, I feel challenged and inspired every day. The Kings Academy pushes me to step out of my comfort zone, offering special performances and engaging activities in STEM and STREAM. Thanks to partnerships with organizations like Cornerstone Baptist Church and Cedar Crest Community Center, Tianna and I have access to free after-school and summer programs, allowing our parents to work without financial stress.

The Kings Academy employs exceptional staff and teachers who truly care about us and our families. Dr. Thomas goes above and beyond to nurture the whole child, and the school has supported us through various challenges, helping us focus on being kids and thriving in our education.
