Creating opportunities for children of Oak Cliff

Off Da Glass Squad, Incorporated is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization. It was established nearly 14 years ago to create a way to keep the youth off the streets and provide positive alternatives to engage in constructive activities all year round. We are dedicated to empowering young individuals through the platform of basketball. Our mentorship programs and basketball clinics aim to instill confidence, resilience, and leadership skills in the next generation of athletes.   Encouraging mental safety.

As hours turned into days, hope flickered like a dying candle. The kids missed their rides—their laughter replaced by worried glances. But then, something magical happened. Police called to say the van was found but catalytic coverter was missing, steering column broken, seats served no purpose. 

Our organization has been actively involved in 2 days/week practice, weekend basketball competitions, and youth field trips in between.  However, we have identified transportation as a significant barrier that hinders our ability to effectively serve these youth and individuals. The youth we work with lack transportation, which limits access to our free  aprograms and services.

To address this issue, we are seeking your support in the form of a van donation or contribution to help obtain. A van would greatly enhance our capacity to provide consistent and reliable transportation for our youth, thereby increasing their access to our programs and positively impacting their lives. We need to transport about 25-32 youth.

The van will be used as the main transportation for our youth. This helps keep kids out of the streets. We drop off at their doorstep. We estimate the annual maintenance and operation costs to be around $2500 every 3 months. This includes insurance, fuel, and regular maintenance. We have a plan in place to cover these costs with sponsorship of upkeep.

Your generous donation will not only provide immediate transportation solutions but also contribute to the long-term success of our programs. We believe that with your support, we can break down the transportation barrier and create more opportunities for the youth we serve.
