Help Starla Support Over the Bridge Arts

When I was a child, I thought that the theater was for rich people. I had NO IDEA that I could go to see a play, or a dance composition and get lost in another world that was different than my own.  I would escape to the library, a park, or even the zoo to get away!  I never went to a museum until I was in college and an assignment required that I go!  It never occurred to me that I could expose myself to art because I wasn’t exposed to it as an option.  After my first opera, I couldn’t get enough!  The theater is a very happy place for me, and I hate that I missed going for all of those years because I simply didn’t know that I could.

Folks need to be able to access art to appreciate it, and children who have access to art grow up to be artists that give us new works to enjoy!  At Over the Bridge Arts, we are creating ACCESS TO EXPERIENCES by producing quality shows and keeping the cost low, we create ARTIST DRIVEN SPACES by using donated money to produce original works that are by new and up and coming artists, and we SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER by using our platforms to promote equality and social justice.
