As you may know, in 2023 I completed my Masters in Social Work at The University of Texas in Arlington. During that time I was able to complete my internship and start my Social Work journey at A Sisters Legacy - a Dallas based non-profit organization that provides free and low-cost therapy for 14+. While I am not employed by A Sisters Legacy, I am now the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the organization. I believe that by staying involved in this organization I am able to fuel my passion for what I do. At ASL I am able to do work in honor of my brother who I lost to suicide, a preventable epidemic.
At A Sisters Legacy, we are aware that access to quality mental health services is a privilege that not everyone is afforded which is why we strive to increase access to care by removing barriers such as cost, transportation, etc. We are on the heels of one of the largest fundraising opportunities of the year, North Texas Giving Day. We are seeking support from you to continue our efforts of making accessible care.
