Sarina Lora's 28th Birthday Fundraiser for BGCGTC

Dear friends, family, and community leaders alike:

You've seen my life unfold on social media over the last 9 months as I took a leap of faith and tried something new for the first time in 4+ years. The career transition I made was undoubtedly the scariest and hardest thing at first, but now I see and can feel so much around me, and our dollars, our decisions, our impact truly can make or break a life. 

I've had the greatest honor of a lifetime to work at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County. There have been more smiles than tears but the tears come as I learn continually who OUR kids are. They are inspirational, they are survivors, they are artists, they are funny, they are talented, they are wise, and they are kids. 

With my 28th Birthday on September 18th and North Texas Giving Day on September 19th, it only felt right to launch my campaign supported by YOU to help me continue to do the work that I do, support my teams and colleagues in the work that they do, and support the 66,000+ youth that we continually serve. 

I always say "We never know where are our kids coming from and we never know what they are going home to, but we do know that when they are with us at BGCGTC; they are loved, they are fed, they are seen."

A $5 donation covers the cost of (1) meal for one kid per day.

A $100 donation covers the admission of club members to have access for a full year of membership into our programming our organization. 

Please give as your pockets and wallets allow. I will routinely share an update daily about kids I've met along the way and why your dollars matter.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County (BGCGTC) is committed to being the premier youth development provider in Denton and Tarrant Counties, providing a safe and welcoming environment where children and teens are respected and valued. Through after school, summer, prevention, and intervention programs that meet the highest standards of quality, kids are given the resources necessary to learn the academic, lifestyle, and citizenship skills that will result in positive outcomes for the rest of their lives. In 2023, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County provided quality programming to more than 66,000 youth through our traditional Club branches, our fleet of Mobile Clubhouses, and our licensed school sites. In 2024 and beyond, BGCGTC strives to sustain and continue to grow the number of youth served. Your support helps BGCGTC give kids and teens ages 6 to 18 the courage to dream!

• 84% of our Club kids qualify for the free and reduced lunch program 
• More than 50% of our Club kids come from single-parent households 
• 74% of Club kids in our pre-college programs are the first in their families to go to college 
• In 2023, we served over 66,000 kids and teens across Denton and Tarrant Counties
• BGCGTC is the number one teen-serving Boys & Girls Club organization in the nation, serving over 9,000 teens in 2023
