$10,000 goal

The Conrad High School Orchestra Department is dedicated to nurturing the musical talents and aspirations of our students. To enhance their learning experience, we aim to connect our students with college and professional mentor musicians who can provide expert guidance, inspiration, and real-world insights into the world of music.

On North Texas Giving Day, we are seeking to raise $10,000 to bring these mentors into our program, offering our students unparalleled opportunities for growth and development in their musical journey.

Our Objective:

The funds raised will be used to establish a mentoring program where college and professional musicians will work closely with our students, offering masterclasses, one-on-one coaching, and collaborative performance opportunities. This initiative will provide students with:

1. Advanced Musical Training:

Personalized instruction from experienced collegiate and professional musicians, helping students refine their technique and expand their musical knowledge. Many Conrad Orchestra Students receive no private lessons.

2. Professional Insight:

Exposure to the realities of a career in music, including performance, composition, and music education.

3. College and All-State Preparation:

Guidance on preparing for college music programs, including All-State and Region audition preparation, portfolio development, and scholarship opportunities.

Campaign Strategy:

To reach our $10,000 goal, we will implement the following strategies:

1. Community Engagement:

Direct Outreach: Send personalized emails and letters to parents, alumni, and local community members explaining the benefits of the mentoring program and encouraging their support.

Social Media Campaign: Utilize platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to share stories and testimonials from students and mentors, highlighting the impact of professional guidance on our students' growth.

2. Events and Initiatives:

Virtual Mentor Showcase: Host a virtual event featuring performances and Q&A sessions with mentor musicians, showcasing the value they bring to the program and encouraging donations during the event.

Matching Gifts: Secure commitments from major donors to match contributions made on North Texas Giving Day, doubling the impact of each donation.

3. Partnerships:

Local Businesses and Sponsors: Collaborate with local businesses to sponsor specific aspects of the mentoring program, such as funding for specific instruments or scholarships for students.

University Collaborations: Partner with local colleges and universities to involve their music faculty and students in our mentoring program, fostering a community of learning and support.

4. Storytelling and Testimonials:

Student Success Stories: Share stories of students who have benefited from previous mentorship experiences, illustrating the program's positive impact on their musical and academic development.

Mentor Perspectives: Feature testimonials from professional musicians who have mentored young students, emphasizing the transformative power of mentorship in the arts.

Mentor Budget Allocation:

The $10,000 raised will be allocated as follows:

1. Mentor Stipends: 65%

Compensation for college and professional musicians who dedicate time to teaching and mentoring our students.

2. Masterclasses, Workshops and Performances: 25%

Funding for specialized workshops and masterclasses led by mentor musicians, open to all orchestra students.

3. Program Administration and Coordination: 10%

Costs associated with organizing the mentoring program, including scheduling, materials, and marketing efforts.

Conclusion:

Your support on North Texas Giving Day will help the Conrad High School Orchestra Department elevate its educational offerings by connecting our students with accomplished college and professional musicians. This mentoring program will not only enhance their technical skills but also provide invaluable guidance as they pursue their musical dreams.

By contributing to this initiative, you are investing in the future of our students, helping them achieve their full potential both in music and in life. We invite you to join us in making this vision a reality.

Thank you for your generosity and commitment to the arts.
