As we know all too well, childhood cancer does not end when the treatment ends. As a result of the brain resection/brain radiation that Travis received during his treatment, he was diagnosed with epilepsy. He had brain surgery in July of 2023 and has another one scheduled for October 2023. The treatments kids endure are harsh and have life long side effects.
Travis was diagnosed with medulloblastoma at the age of seven. At this tender young age, he underwent treatment at Children's Health, Dallas. We are happy to report Travis finished up his senior year at John Brown University, in Arkansas, where he graduated with a degree in Business Management.
Travis completed an internship at the Carson Leslie Foundation in the Summer of 2021 and is thrilled to serve as a CLF Ambassador for North Texas Giving Day 2023.
Carson and Travis, two valiant young medulloblastoma warriors and our inspiration for why we work tirelessly to fund medulloblastoma research and help kids fight cancer.
CLF's COLLABORATIVE MISSION of helping kids fight cancer is shaped by three distinct pillars.
✅ cureMEdullo research initiative identifies and invests in low toxic medulloblastoma (brain cancer) research.
✅ HEARTS of GOLD hootenanny, Carson's Corner at Children's Hospital & Under Armour Backpack programs address the mental health challenges of kids in the battle.
✅ Advocate for policy changes benefiting the overall state of childhood cancer.
