After college I obtained my teaching certification in Science and since then have dedicated my life to the advancement of education in the STEM fields. Science education has always been important to me and now as a board member of a stem education non-profit I have the opportunity to help not just hundreds but thousands of young minds.

Sci-Tech is an institution that helps students find their light for science and with generous support of our partners we bring innovative learning to kids in North Texas to build their STEM skills and confidence and spark their interest in pursuing STEM careers. Research shows that students who envision a career in a STEM field at age 13 are two to three times more likely to earn college degrees in STEM, so we seek to inspire kids while they are in elementary and middle school.

Since STEM jobs pay up to 40% more than non-STEM jobs, the spark that Sci-Tech provides helps to transform our participants’ lives by addressing career inspiration for their future economic stability.
