Our Impact
Since opening its doors in 2014, UNT Dallas College of Law has been dedicated to producing practice-ready attorneys who are well-prepared to meet the demands of the legal profession.
We are committed to providing an affordable and accessible legal education. Our tuition rates are designed to minimize financial burdens on our students, ensuring that a high-quality legal education is within reach for aspiring lawyers. This commitment has fostered a student body that is not only academically capable but also reflective of the rich diversity of the communities we serve.
With a total of 794 graduates to date, our institution is proud to report a consistent record of academic and professional success. Our graduates have demonstrated their readiness through a strong average bar exam pass rate of 80%, which includes a 71.43% first-time pass rate for the February bar exam. This solid foundation in legal education is further reflected in the impressive employment outcomes of our alumni.
89% of our UNT Dallas College of Law graduates secure employment within 10 months of graduation. Many of our graduates find opportunities in small to mid-sized law firms, with 45% of our alumni working in firms with 1-10 attorneys. Additionally, our graduates have made significant inroads into prestigious placements in various state, local, and federal agencies. To date 15 of our alumni have been selected for federal judicial clerkships.
Student Needs
Scholarships
One of our key goals is widening access to legal education for those who could be superb legal professionals but encounter barriers such as cost, location, and the influence of current ranking formulas on admission and scholarships. Therefore, we are committed to offering a top-quality legal education at an extremely competitive cost.
For the 2024-25 academic year, a student with an established Texas residency attending full-time will pay a tuition cost of $9,563.45 each semester and a part-time student will pay $7,866.76 each semester. Therefore, we are seeking assistance with establishing donor-funded scholarships to financially support our students. A gift of $25,000 can establish an endowed scholarship fund that will alleviate the financial burden of students in perpetuity.
