Flexing for the women and children of Nexus!

For North Texas Giving Day, I am supporting Nexus Family Recovery Center.  This is a really special organization that helps women who are addressing their substance use disorders, including providing housing and food while they are in treatment — all at no cost to the client.  If they are a mother, their children can usually accompany them as well, making the likelihood of their recovery even more successful.

Nexus is the only recovery center that provides a female-only Medical Detox Program in North Texas.

Nexus is the only recovery center in Texas that provides on-site daycare for mothers in residential treatment.

Here’s where your dollars can help:

$500 provides 1 month of basic needs and care for a child in the Child Development Center.

$250 provides 1 week of hot meals for 1 woman and her children in residential treatment.

$100 provides 1 crib set for our pregnant and Parenting Women with Children Program.

$50 provides 1 week of diapers for 2 babies accompanying their mothers into treatment.
