In 2005, TMWF was the first agency in the United States to offer trauma-informed and culturally sensitive services to Muslims experiencing domestic or family violence. As TMWF has grown, we have expanded our services and outreach beyond North Texas and the Muslim community. While we have a unique understanding of the needs of Muslim families, WE ARE OPEN TO ALL. TMWF does not discriminate based on age, race, religion, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation or national origin.

Our programs are designed to promote peace in the home and the community through a comprehensive strategy of prevention and intervention. Our primary services include crisis shelters, long-term transitional housing, legal services (family and immigration law), case management, and counseling. Our secondary services include our Zara Khan Support Program (ZKSP) for terminally ill patients and their families, and interfaith educational programs (including our Radio Show with Radio Azad).

TMWF is a United Way agency and an equal opportunity provider.
