UX Research & Strategy

We hold monthly meetings to support anyone who wants to learn about UX research and methods to strategically apply and advocate for results from research. Since COVID-19, we've taken our meetings online, which has increased our reach from DFW to the entire world. Our monthly meetings are always provided free of charge. When we can, we post a recording of the meeting to our YouTube channel so anyone can watch the content to further their UX research education.

Our Needs

UX Research and Strategy would like to hold our first conference in 2021. We want to ensure that it is a virtual and global event. We are looking to raise $3,000 to offset the costs to our community and make ticket prices affordable for attendees:



• A virtual conference provides a more flexible option for our attendees as they can join from their place of residence and watch (and re-watch) the videos at any time.


• A global conference also allows attendees to network with others who might not be able to travel to a specific location, increasing the exchange of information across cultural and physical boundaries.


• In order to do this, we need some capital to secure speakers, make sure we have a great virtual meeting platform, and to keep the ticket prices affordable.


• Since the UX industry has been hit hard with layoffs due to COVID-19, it's very important to us to bring this educational conference to our attendees. We want to make sure people can continue their professional learning, even if they don't have a professional budget to pay for the ticket.

We also need to continue supporting our normal operating budget. We're looking to raise $2,000 towards these costs:


• All of which contributes to spreading the message of our organization.


• This helps ensure we can keep providing services at no cost or very low-cost to our community.


• The budget needs consists of website hosting fees, Zoom meetings and upgrade fees, social media advertising/management fees, online file storage fees and printing fees, among other fees.
