Amphibian Stage is dedicated to offering a space where bold storytelling meets, diverse and rich talent from all backgrounds bringing plays, Spark Fest - a theatre and cultural festival, stand-up comedy and robust arts education programs that inspire young minds in the community. As part of 'The Next Act'- our leadership transition from our fearless founder Kathleen Culebro to our ambitious leader Jay Duffer, we are excited for another 25 years.
To produce innovative and engaging theatre that inspires new ideas, opens new doors, and increases our understanding of the vast world around us.
1. Increase our capacity to mentor, train and employ a greater number of artists, especially underrepresented artists. Each year we employ upwards of 200 artists.
2. Support educational institutions by complementing their arts departments through free shows, field trips, and paid internship/apprenticeship programs. Each year we host 500+ youth from local area schools and non-profits
3. Continue to share high-quality productions with arts patrons that push creative boundaries and spark conversation. Each year we produce 4 mainstage plays, at least 2 of which are world premieres, 3 new plays as part of Spark Fest, and invite talented playwrights and crew to do their best work.
