REDEEMED WOMEN

$100,000 Goal

We have seen significant, positive changes in the lives of the women we serve. The women are forming friendships and establishing much needed support systems which will allow them to lean on each other in times of need whether it be childcare so she can go to work, a safe place to go if they are in a hostile situation, and the strength felt when the bonds of friendship take root. We have seen one of our women decide to complete high school and graduated in May as a direct result or the ongoing support and encouragement brought to her by Redeemed Women. We continue to provide much needed transportation to grocery stores, doctor appointments, job interviews, laundry mats, to the social security office, and really anywhere they need to go to accomplish a task that will better their lives and the lives of their families. We provide cleaning supplies, hygiene supplies, clothing, and other necessities when needed to help our women keep clean homes and practice healthy daily habits to help our women stay well and able to work, keep their children well and able to attend school, and all the other benefits of having a clean living environment. We also provide spiritual support through Bible Study, Womens leadership conferences and more

Our Needs

We need funds to support three areas of service:

1. Operational Costs to include administrative/overhead costs expenses, supplies to include DART passes, application fees, educational supplies, governmental document fees etc.

2. Maintenance for RW Van "Vanna White"- to transport women for medical appointment, Job interviews, grocery shopping, events, etc.

3. Facilities Maintenance - For our corporate office, located in the South Dallas, Bonton & Fair Park neighborhood to serve as residential space. We hold nutrition classes, we provide free counseling services, job and other training for women. Our space is called "The Well".

Mission

Mission:

Transforming women to lead independent lives by building relationships and addressing their spiritual, physical and vocational needs.

Needs

We need volunteers to help come alongside us. We can always use committed weekly volunteers to come in-person and we also offer a Saturday to help with work schedule. We also have a need for remote volunteers as well.

Our needs range from computer lab help, front desk, inventory, trainings, breakfast & bible, event setup/takedown, to bible study help, donation collection etc.

Equity Statement

Redeemed Women was founded for community, in community, and with the needs of our community at the forefront. As we serve the area that we’re called to, we prioritize inclusion at the core of our work. As we focus on meeting needs – many of which are created by cyclical and generational poverty – we welcome and embrace women no matter where they are, what they’ve faced, or how they came to us. We understand systemic drivers to poverty and work at every level to address, advocate, and align the appropriate resources to make sure that the women of South Dallas and their families are supported. Central to building relationships is creating safety for each person who walks through our doors, and working in partnership to help them become independent, equipped for success, and cared for is what we do.
