Animal Allies of Texas rescues abandoned, neglected, or abused animals and fosters them in homes while they receive medical care. After each animal is vetted, we find them each a forever home that'll match their needs. AAT also holds low cost vaccination clinics twice monthly to help seniors and/or low income families keep their pets healthy and comply with city codes. We also offer low cost heartworm tests and medications. We provide materials in English and Spanish to help educate pet owners. We also provide educational children's material on how to care for pets, how to avoid dog bites, and the importance of spay/neuter in hopes of promoting kinder, more compassionate generations for the future.
To help us save as many animals as we can, we need resources to pay for vet bills, food, medication and any other items to maintain the health and happiness of our foster animals. We use our facility to host low cost vaccination clinic days, monthly, at our Garland facility. We invite everyone from the community to come and get their pets vaccinated. With our resources, we're able to provide flea/tick preventative medication and heart worm medication at a low cost to our community. We also offer heart worm testing and micro-chipping at a much lower cost than vet clinics. These low cost shot clinics are operated by our board members and volunteers. We are hoping to grow our organization and our resources to be able to host a variety of new things, such as a community learning day to help kids and adults learn about how to take care of a new pet, when and how often to vaccinate, and possibly even offer small training classes. We do not house any animals at our current facility and donations would help support our foster animals in their foster homes. We want to be able to further our reach to save more animals and offer education to help owners better understand their pets and their needs. We hope you can help us in reaching this goal.
Animal Allies of Texas is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit animal advocacy organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community for both pets and people.
Our goal is to provide underserved communities with low cost vaccination clinics, promote low cost spay and neuter, and rescue stray, abandoned, or surrendered pets providing the necessary medical care in order for them to be placed in forever homes. We also strive to promote educating the people; provide solutions to effectively lower/control the overpopulation of unwanted animals as well as educating them on being responsible pet owners.
We seek to make a positive impact in the communities we serve.
